Business and License Types

There are three basic business licenses allowed:
• The Free Zone Limited Liability Company ( FZ-LLC) is a stand-alone business acting on behalf of individual owners or shareholders. It does not depend on a parent company for business authority. FZ-LLC’s can be owned by individuals, shareholders or corporations and the document requirements vary among these. There are specific capitalization requirements
• A Branch of a Foreign Company does business inside the free zone in the name of and dependent on a parent company. There is no capitalization requirement
• A Branch of a Local company does business inside a free zone as a component of a pre-existing company in the UAE but outside the Free Zone. There is no capitalization requirement

Required documents for individual applicants for FZ-LLC licenses in Dubai Outsource Zone:

FZ-LLC businesses require proof of AED300,00 (US$82,191) capital investment.

Required documents for corporate applicants for FZ-LLC license in Dubai Outsource Zone:

• A company profile for the parent company

• Certificate of registration for the parent company. This can be a business license or certificate of incorporation. Must be notarized by the UAE Embassy in the origin country
