Tower expected to be operational by 2020
Dubai hotel giant Jumeirah has joined forces with property investors RP Global in order to manage a multipurpose tower worth $1bn, situated at Dubai’s happening commercial hub- Business Bay.
The tower, formerly RP One, has been renamed Jumeirah Business Bay, all set to include 350 service apartments, 290 residential flats, and true to Jumeirah’s hotelier fame- a luxury hotel of 200 rooms.
Upon its initial launch in May, the tower was named the second tallest in Dubai. The tower will span an area of 3 million square feet, with a breathtaking view of its taller counterpart Burj Khalifa and the skyline of Downtown Dubai.
The tower is to have state of the art facilities, including a Talise Spa, health club, a rooftop sky bar, outlets for food and drinks, a conference hall, and a banquet arena.
Jumeirah Business Bay tower is the brainchild of engineering and architectural company Atkins Global, who were also behind the magnificent design of Burj Al Arab.
Conveniently located behind the metro station of Business Bay, the tower is estimated to be completed ahead of Expo 2020 and will add to Jumeirah’s business successes along with the 25 high profile properties it has developed. The company is also running 23 hotels successfully across Asia, Europe, as well as the Middle East.
“True to our reputation of excellence in luxury hospitality, this partnership is a reflection of the strong bond between RP Global and Jumeirah. We are proud to be enriching our portfolio and to be a vital part of Dubai’s tourism goal of welcoming 20 million tourists every year by the year 2020,” said Gerald Lawless, Group President and CEO of Jumeirah.
RP Global too is a big shot investor in the sectors of construction, industrial development, and hospitality industry; having completed projects valued $25bn all over the world, according to the company authorities.
The construction firm is also yet to unveil another ongoing tower-RP Heights; a multi storied giant having 268 residential apartments situated in Downtown Dubai.
RP Group Chairman Ravi Pillai said, “Investing around $1bn in the real estate scene of Dubai, we aspire to construct a state of the art, international tower operated by the hospitality brand name, Jumeirah Group. RP Global promises timely service and superior quality and just like our partners, Jumeirah, we design innovative and creative lifestyle solutions for our esteemed clients.”
